Dance Montage

Job: Director/Editor
Date: Summer 2006
Duration: 2'48
Cameras: James Jones, Chris Watson
Description: Over 300 guests were captured on this 3 camera shoot, with tight editing to the music needed not only to keep up with the pace of the music, but also to fit them all in. The final edit involved cutting 24 hours of footage down to a 40 minute, action packed video able to hold the attention of viewers not even present on the day. This is the disco edit which brought the video to a snappy close. The music is also heavily edited from the original to better suit the editing style.

C21 Advert

Job: Editor
Date: November 2003
Duration: 0'24
Camera/Cinematography: James Rydings (imdb)
Description: Originally envisioned as a series of shots of models, it was discovered in post-production that the better shots were the spontaneous reactions in when the camera was left rolling between takes. Heavy colour-correction was employed to achieve a sensual, sexy look.

Physics Olympiad Video

Job: Editor/Cameraman
Date: Summer 2000
Duration: 3'17
Camera: Oliver Thompson, Jo Jones
Description: The Physics Olympiad welcomes the best young physicists from over 60 countries to compete for top prizes. In 2000, the event was held for one week in Leicester and we were asked to make a video over the course of the week for presentation at the end. As a group of 5, we filmed every day (often 2 crews) and edited all night. A challenging video to make, the result received a standing ovation from the students and staff on the final day. This section was filmed at Alton Towers during a day trip for the students, edited to a heavily edited music track to remove the less lively parts of the song.
